During the Ming Dynasty's Wanli period, court politics are in chaos. Eunuch Lu Anning controls the government with dark schemes. They are captured by Lu Anning and forced to lead him to the tomb. Inside the dangerous tomb, after many trials and the sacrifice of their protector, they discover the treasure is just ordinary Chinese items - belongings of a Chinese princess who married into a foreign kingdom and missed her homeland. The tomb collapses, rain falls, and the two lovers return home together.
