Twenty years ago, Zhao Jianghe's wife and daughter were kidnapped by traffickers at a market. Since then, he raised his son, Zhao Kangjian, alone while searching for them. Years later, Jianghe sells his old house to buy a new home for Kangjian and moves in with him. However, his daughter-in-law, Pan Yunshu, mistreats him and threatens divorce to force him out. Caught between family and his wife, Kangjian chooses his wife and kicks his father out of the house.
